This menstrual blood that flows from the uterus through the cervix and vagina is a clear sign that the body is working normally, providing hormones to keep women healthy.
Period questions come into every girls mind once they hit puberty. It can be pretty crazy because there are some hidden dangers of period that most were not aware of.
The hidden dangers that can happen during your monthly periods are presented below:
1. The sudden bleeding in the cycle
It should only be bleeding at the time expected at the end of its cycle (as it marks the beginning of a new cycle) but if you experience spotting or bleeding in the middle of the cycle, it is best to consult a doctor because they can mean cervical polyps or uterine. While these are not always dangerous, some of them might indicate cancer.
2. Changes in Color of Menstrual Discharge
Normal menstrual discharge should be as red as cranberry juice – if it is not the case and you are experiencing very light- or very dark-colored discharge, consult your doctor as this could be a sign of estrogen imbalance and other medical issues.
3. Delay menstrual cycle
Unless you are pregnant, delayed menstrual cycle is not a good sign. This could mean that your doctor hormonal problems can be better addressed if visits / her before time. If your period is always late or only happens every few months, you may have polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), a common disorder in women of childbearing age. This reality could cause infertility.
4. Light Menstrual Flow
Unless you are on pills or other hormonal contraceptives, menstrual flow should be regular. Light flow (or having regular menstrual flows that are much lighter than usual) could mean issues with the thyroid and/or pituitary glands. If you always had regular flows that suddenly become light, consult a doctor.
5. Severe, excruciating cramps
Many women experience cramps before your period begins; Often, this pain disappears once blood flow is initiated; However, if you are always experiencing severe and unbearable cramps, you’d better consult a doctor as it might have hormonal problems or other dangerous condition.
